On her X(Twitter) page, Tamil-Telugu actor Anjali backed actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna. That is after a viral video of Balakrishna aka Balayya pushing her on stage at the ‘Gangs of Godavari’ event yesterday.
Once the video went viral, several celebrities and users criticized this action by Balayya as being ‘rude’ and ‘disrespectful’. Director Hansal Mehta called him a ‘scumbag’.
Now sharing a video from the ‘Gangs of Godavari’ event, she thanked him for coming to the show. However, many have been shocked by Anjali’s latest post about Balayya despite her getting a lot of backing from her fellow celebrities and internet users.

“Thank you so much Balakrishna Garu for gracing us with your presence in the Gangs of Godavari pre-release event. I can also maintain that I and Balakrishna Garu have had mutual respect for a long time. We are great friends over the years which is very good enough.

It contains clips where Anjali was interacting with Balayya during the function including when he pushed her away.
The Internet called out saying a bad name to Balakrishna while some comments were asking why Anjali laughed.
Chinmayi Sripaada, who is a playback singer and voice artist, blasted the ‘moral policing’ of women while backing Anjali.

In her post, she wrote, “One of the best examples that I see with people posting this is ‘Look at her laughing. She should have…’. It is not possible to respond to your viewer’s response as you watch it on your gadget.

Vishwak Sen an actor in ‘Gangs of Godavari’, and Naga Vamsi—a producer, also defended Balakrishna’s move saying that the act had been exaggerated.
In the past, Nandamuri Balakrishna was indicted for his conduct toward other actors, enthusiasts, and personal staff.
