Police Rescued kids in anti-child labor in Noida and The campaign was organized by the police Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) in alliance with civil society organizations, Sahyog (Care For You) and Young India.
The total number of children who were minors and worked at restaurants, furniture stores, hotels and so on saved in Noida on Thursday in a crackdown against child labour is put at 15 by police.
According to information from an official statement, the campaign was led by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the police department in collaboration with two NGOs namely Young India and Sahyog (Care For You).
These children were found working as child labourers in hotels, dhabas, furniture shops etc. during this said operation in Sector 49, Baraula and area around Sector 76 of Noida,” said the police.

The parents or guardians of each rescued child were counselled regarding not ruining their lives by involving them in such assignments but instead preferring education for them,” explained the officer.
Further support will be given to these children’s families so that they can lead responsible lives and contribute to national development through free education programmes initiated by law enforcement agencies according to the statement.
The Noida Police had saved 14 children on June 1 during the same campaign.
There is a clear prohibition of child labour in India as stipulated by the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, of 1986.
Moreover, Uttar Pradesh has its own set of legislation for banning child labour such as the UP Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 which operates alongside Federal legislation to address child labour within the state.
