TVF Gullak season 4 Review: SonyLiv will premiere Season 4 of TVF’s ‘Gullak’, which brings the Mishra family and their simple actions back. There is also comedy and drama that run through all their lives in this new season.
The fourth season of “Gullak” a TVF series is here to remind us about our warm moments of life. It is worth noting that the show retains its unique appeal and relatable humor as it propels the audience once more into the world of an endearing Mishra family, narrated by a Gullak (voiced by Shivankit Parihar).
Although the trailer seemed to follow Aman (Harsh Mayar), the youngest Mishra, Season 4 is as much about Aman as Annu (Vaibhav Raj Gupta), Shanti (Geetanjali Kulkarni) and Santosh Mishra (Jameel Khan).
Consequently, with time growing up becomes harder for the youngest son resulting in increasing tensions within this family leading them into unexpected situations such as getting themselves involved with police officers.

It’s adulting vs parenting this time around with an adulting kid trying to be a rebel without any cause. However, Santosh Mishra who was always cool finds himself losing his cool state.
The eldest Mishra son, Annu, has grown up and is now working as a medical representative. Meanwhile, tension is brewing between once inseparable siblings – Annu bhaiya and his younger brother Aman.
In the midst of all this, Shanti Mishra, the matriarch of the family keeps them together but not without her onslaught of words as this Gullak puts it – “inki rakhi si roti jaise jeevan mein jaise nimbu ka achaar hai Shanti Mishra ke maukhik prahaar (In their life, Shanti Mishra’s verbal attacks add some much-needed tanginess).
Gullak Season 4 Created and Directed by Shreyansh Pandey will make you fall in love with The Mishras again through their idiosyncrasies that evoke relatable emotions. A five-episode series written by Vidit Tripathi this time.
However, amidst these new challenges, the charm of ‘Gullak’ remains intact which captures the essence of middle-class life with humor and heart.
As the Gullak says “Middle-class woh hai jo chhine hue gold chain ko bhi purkho ki narak mukti ka daan samjhe (Middle-class people are those who consider that stealing a gold chain will redeem their ancestors in hell from their sins).

Matlad bure se bure situation mein kuch achhayi dhoondh hi lenge hum middle class. In short, we middle-classers can find goodness even in the worst situations.
One of the things that has been setting apart “Gullak” from others is the stellar acting and perfect on-screen chemistry among the cast.
The way they work together to make Gullak even if it is Annu and Aman or Bittu ki Mummy and Mishra family, their friendship stands out beyond anything else.
Once again, the actors offer exceptional performances with Geetanjali Kulkarni and Jameel Khan as a pair of quarreling but adoring parents.
Vaibhav Raj Gupta portrays a character of an angry young man, who tries to tell his brother what to do by shouting at him not to lock the door behind him. He also takes his role as an elder brother seriously when his younger sibling seeks help.
He carries himself well in the position of an older brother while Harsh Mayar brings out Amans full potential during adolescence. Sunita Rajwar captures Bittu ki Mummy’s character very well and she always appears at the Mishras home interposing all times.
Dr. Preeti played by Helly Shah seems like a new beautiful actress to have come into Gullak where her introduction suggests it could be a love story starting here.
Just as usual ‘Gullak” continues portraying happiness and annoyances in daily life with sharp humor and realistic circumstances that can be associated with some people watching it.
Season 4 has maintained its humor whilst striking a balance between comedy and tragedy making fans both old and new have a good time watching it.
