These new incidents in which a Boeing 777 jet is involved follow earlier ones that have raised concerns about the safety as well as reliability of these planes.
On March 7 this year, in Los Angeles, California, a United Airlines Boeing 777-200 plane made an emergency landing after one tire detached while taking off from San Francisco. This incident was captured on tape resulting in damage to cars parked nearby due to the loose wheel.
Another United Airlines’ Boeing 777-300 which had left Sydney for San Francisco was forced to turn around due to fuel leakage reported after takeoff on March 13th.
