Popular Kannada movie actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his wife, Pavithra Gowda, have been arrested in the Renuka Swamy murder case in Bengaluru. Besides the duo, 10 others were taken into custody following their involvement.
A 47-year-old film star and his wife were arrested from his Mysore farmhouse and brought back to Bangalore for interrogation.
The deceased, Renuka Swamy aged 33 years old was found dead at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru. He was working with the Apollo Pharmacy branch at Chitradurga and sent derogatory messages to Darshan’s wife.

Yesterday 3 persons admitted to killing him claiming that they did it on Darshan’s directions.
Swamy’s parents had filed a missing complaint but the police asked them to wait for two days. (he went missing only yesterday). The murder was reported on June 9 followed by which a case was registered.
There were 14-15 injury marks on his body. The report stated that Swamy could have been hit by a blunt force object while also describing some rod-like injuries on him.

On Wednesday, police will be handed over with the post-mortem report. Meanwhile, tight security is provided by police at Darshan’s home in RR Nagar.
Darshan happens to be one of the Kannada film industry’s star actors. He additionally takes part in sandalwood as a producer and distributor.
From the television screen, he has been able to make it big in films. His blockbuster movies include ‘Kalasipalya’, ‘Saarathi’, ‘Yajamana’ and ’ Robert’. His last movie was called Kaatera which came out in 2023.
