Alia Bhatt’s fans were in shock and concern after a deepfake video of hers went viral. The AI-created clip features Alia engaging in the GRWM (Get Ready With Me) challenge.
The user Sameeksha Avtr posted it on Instagram and within days, it has been watched by over 17 million people.
In her bio, she says, “All videos that are created using AI are for sheer entertainment.”

However, right after the deepfake video broke the internet, her followers expressed their worries about AI. One wrote, “AI is getting dangerous day by day,” while another said, “Feeling bad for those who think it’s real.” And finally, a third one commented “I’m getting scared of AI now.”

This is not the first time that such a kind of video displaying Alia has gone viral on social media. For instance, this May there was a leaked video that featured Alia Bhatt’s face morphed into Wamiqa Gabbi’s body.
On May 7th this year, Alia Bhatt wore a Sabyasachi saree at the Met Gala in New York City. On the other hand, another video of an actor in a red saree also caught the attention of many people online. Unifixface uploaded this footage to Instagram where Bhatt seemed to be posing for a photo session.
