Diljit Dosanjh, a Punjabi singer-actor, sang his popular songs ‘G.O.A.T’ and ‘Born To Shine’ on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
In an online video, Jimmy describes ‘Lemonade’ as the ‘biggest Punjabi artist on earth’ and asks fans to check him out during his current ‘Dil-Luminati’ tour across North America.

To make his performance more interesting, Diljit adjusted the words of ‘G.O.A.T.’ by singing ‘Hollywood vich jine stars hai unade vich baitha sardar goriye. The original lyrics referred to Bollywood and Khans.
After a brief pause, Diljit concluded with the line ‘Mein hun Punjab’ from the song ‘Ishq Mitaaye’ in his movie called Chamkila.

Diljit Dosanjh Wear Outfit on The Tonight Show
Tehmat, also known as Tamba, is a Punjabi variant of lungi. Diljit wore an all-white Kurta and Tehmat as his outfit. A Mandarin collar with button enclosures at the chest, half-length sleeves, slim fit silhouette, and intricate thread embroidery are some of the features found in the kurta.

He also had on a matching pagri or turban. Moreover, he had silver hoop earrings, a bracelet watch, black tinted aviators, a black vest, kada alongside white socks, and black-and-white high-ankle sneakers.

Diljit teaching Jimmy some Punjabi phrases was posted on “The Tonight Show” official Instagram account.
This caption seems to show how desperate Jimmy tries to get hold of Dilijit’s iconic catchphrase “Punjabi aa gaye oye”. His pronunciation could use some improvement although it is a lovely effort.
