Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are now married officially. The couple, who have been going out for the last seven years, got married at Sonakshi’s house in Mumbai under the Special Marriage Act.

Sonakshi Sinha, popularly known for her roles in Dabangg and Lootera, has been occupied with pre-wedding rituals and ceremonies at her Mumbai residence.
The wedding reception is supposed to be held at Bastian, Mumbai where it will be graced by many Bollywood celebrities in addition to close friends and family members.
Earlier on Zaheer Iqbal had left his home getting ready to go to Sonakshi’s house where they tied the knot through a civil marriage ceremony. Furthermore, Sonakshi’s Heeramandi co-star Aditi Rao Hydari was also among those who were seen arriving at the actor’s place (Laxmi). Actor Aayush Sharma came with his wife Arpita Khan Sharma.

Zaheer iqbal’s statement on his marriage
It was earlier disclosed by the father of Zaheer, Iqbal Ratansi, that their wedding would not involve any Hindu or Muslim rituals. “This marriage will have no Hindu rituals. It will also not have Muslim ones. It is purely a civil marriage” he noted to Free Press Journal.
Besides, Sonakshi’s conversion to Islam rumors were denied by him stating that “it’s wrong to say she is converting”. Their union is one of minds and religions do not play any part in it at all.
I believe in humanity. For Hindus, He is called Bhagwan while Muslims call Him Allah. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings go out to both of you.”
