A massive fire in the Taj Express happened in New Delhi’s Sariva Vihar but thankfully no one was hurt in this accident.
There was a fire outbreak in three carriages of the Taj Express train at Sarita Vihar in Delhi on Monday. There have been no reports of injuries so far, said the city’s Fire Service Department.
Five fire tenders were immediately deployed to the scene.
The railway DCP, KPS Malhotra said that there was no injury reported from the accident caused by fire.
He said: “At 4.41 pm today, a PCR call regarding a train on fire was received. The team reached there to find out that indeed three coaches were on fire and it was the Taj Express train that was involved.
There was a stoppage of the train movement as passengers moved over to the remaining compartments and subsequently got off them without suffering any injuries. Further action is being pursued by Indian Railways.”
