Rudraprayag Accident News: In Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district, 12 people died after an accident involving a tempo traveler with 26 passengers. As for the incident, police suggested that 16 people were injured.

Today at around 11 AM, the vehicle fell off the road and plunged about 250 meters down into Alaknanda River on Badrinath National Highway.
Out of the 16 injured, 7 victims have been sent to AIIMS Rishikesh and 9 others to Rudraprayag District Hospital. Some of them are in critical condition,” said Rudraprayag SP Vishakha Ashok Bhadane.

To investigate this incident, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami mourns as he is saying that there is a need for investigating the matter by the District Magistrate.
“I pray that God may grant their souls a place near his feet and give strength to their families during these times of distress. I pray Baba Kedar for quick healing of injured ones,” he tweeted from his official account.

The local government and team members of SDRF have been participating in disaster management exercises.
Those traveling from Delhi/Ghaziabad to Chopta Tungnath were unfortunate enough to be involved in the accident, which cause has not yet been established.

Rs 2 lakh for every family who lost a loved one and Rs 50,000 for each injured person was announced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as condolence.
He said in a post on X, “An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.”
