Who is Amol Kale?
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had a close associate in person of Amol Kale. Nagpur-born Kale was also associated with cricket apart from being a self-made businessman who lived in Mumbai for over ten years.
Amol Kale was key in increasing the match fees of top domestic cricketers in Mumbai for the 2024-2025 season when BCCI doubled domestic players’ match fees.
Often, Kale has expressed his thoughts on promoting red-ball cricket. For instance, earlier this year, MCA announced Rs 5 crore as prize money to be awarded to the winning Ranji Trophy team for the period 2023-24.
