BMW Motorrad India has launched the BMW R 1300 GS at Rs 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom). BMW’s newest ADV is available in India as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) and the deliveries will start by the end of this month.
It is priced at Rs 40,000 higher than the R 1250 GS. There are plenty of optional extras and packages for R 1300 GS from BMW.
This bike has a twin-cylinder, horizontally opposed boxer engine that makes more horsepower than the previous generation GS ADV, hence the “R 1300”.
Its peak power output figure is 143bhp while its peak torque is set at 149Nm. This configuration features an inline-six mated to a six-speed transmission.
Moreover, with R 1250 being lighter by only twelve kilograms than the R 1300 GS it also uses a smaller fuel tank with nineteen liters capacity but one liter less than its precursor.

India’s version of the bike is known as BMW R 1300 GS Pro and it offers different looks that can be personalized. These are Triple Black, Style GS Trophy, and 719 Tramuntana.
The only variant that can come with the Adaptive Ride Height feature is Triple Black while the top-end model has got Active Cruise Control, and Front Collision Warning among others.
