Yesterday, Delhi’s Mungeshpur weather station recorded an all-time highest temperature of 52.9 degrees. However, this will be checked by meteorology and union minister Kiren Rijiju because such a reading could be an aberration caused by some mistakes or local factors.
The highest temperature, which was 46.8 degrees Celsius, in 79 years and second-highest ever in Delhi was observed at the city’s main weather station: Safdarjung Observatory. On June 17, 1945, the temperature registered 46.7 degrees Celsius.
